We reserve the right to remove any entries we find offensive. Offending one of us is almost impossible, so if your entry was removed you really deserved it. Oh, one more thing ... if you post spam in this guestbook, not only will your entry be immediately removed, but we will track you down and force you to listen to Bernie's CD over and over again...

Are you having your annual get together at Joe's; or, have you already had it? Please take lots of pictures and download some music, okay? Thanks.

Hello folks,
Know this is off the topic but was wondering if anyone has come across any tabs of Pat Donohue, specifically "Blind Lemon Extract". Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Greetings all. I've been gone for a while working and trying to finish up some school stuff. I'm getting back to the guitar now. Yeah my live version of Little Martha is not that different. I just add a few more hammer-ons and little details but if you'd like to check it out the pigs could send it to ya or leave your email and I'll send you a copy. The pigs were a great help. I don't play it exactly the way I wrote it or the way Leo may play it but It was a great way to get into the subtlties of the tune.

Nice website! I just purchased a vintage Gibson B25. On my internet fact finding mission I came across this rather bold statement: " Itīs (that is the B25)the one that guitar phenomenon Leo Kottke has said is the best 12-string he has ever played". I know he played Bozos, Taylors, Martin 00015s and Rainsongs. Has he ever played Gibsons in public?

The Tab Pigs comment
Not recently. In the 60s he played a B25 for a short while, until it got stolen. I think his comment was that a lot of B25s suck, but he happened to get a gem. Other pigs: correct me if I'm wrong.

Matt writes:
"On a side note, I wonder how many pooches around the world are named Leo or Kottke after LK - which I believe to be the true test of one's affect on the world?"
I would never..........
On yet another note......
After naming the pooch after Kottke, the next best test of "affect" has got to be the name "Kottke" on a license plate. People really do this stuff?
I would never.......(?)

Hello Pig Brothers...:-) (Maybe someday, we'll have some Pig Sisters?)
I haven't checked this area out in awhile and I just wanted to mention (a little late than never), that I think it was a really fitting tribute you gave Ted Banks on this website. I didn't get to know him on the personal level that many of you have, but I did hear his guitar and was very fortunate to have a nice collection of some of his work. It remains a pleasure to listen to. Ted had a great sound and he knew what he was doing with that guitar.....:-)He could play many styles and he did Kottke music proud, that's for sure.
The legacy of any musician is, his/her music will live on forever....:-) Ted's music will keep us happy for a long time to come.

Uh...I've noticed that you guys talk about beer alot. Is there any consensus on whether beer drinking aids the Kottke guitarist wannabe? Personally, I've noticed two interesting phenomena. First, now that the memory is starting to drop out, every time I dust off Mona Ray I get that 'first time feeling'. And second, the beer gut makes a pretty good guitar rest, unless you've had White Castle sliders on the way home, but that's another story. On a side note, I wonder how many pooches around the world are named Leo or Kottke after LK - which I believe to be the true test of one's affect on the world?
