this site is indeed magnificent. i have just seen leo live for the first time and met him... best concert ever! but i digress, i really enjoy the songs the white ape and sonora's death row, and since there are no available transcriptions for these marvelous songs, and i am too stupid and lazy to tab them out myself i would much appreciate it if the pigs found time in their busy schedules to put these songs to tab. i'm sure it wouldn't be too hard...i'm also sure you get lots of requests like this, however, since i am soooo awesome and cool my request is far more valid then any others you have ever recieved!

Well, well. Spoken like a true Tab Pig. Very impressive. But this doesn't mean we are going to tab White Ape or Sonora's Death Row for you.

It's not different in the extreme, but I tend to always like the details of a live performance more so than the studio versions. I think I'm doing a fairly decent job on it but the quality of the pigs is a lot to try and match. One of my all time favorites is "Room at the top of the stairs" off of Leo Live. That'll have to be the next one for me I think.

Found your site via Ted Banks obit - I'm one of his pals from his Florida days. Fitting he came to this place, since he was enclined to sign things TAB in those days. Damn, but he was good - even back then. Anyway, you guys have a great site here. Keep it up.

The Tab Pigs comment   Mike;

Ah, then you must be from his Deland/Stenson days? Yeah, he was a hell of picker....we're going to miss him at our annual "WAB" at CAAS this year. And beyond that.

Thanks,
Bernie

Love the site! I pigged out on all your stuff.

I'm currently working through Airproofing and transcribing Little Martha of the Leo Live CD. I'm using the Transcribe! software so I'm getting into some outrageous detail. I'd be happy to give it to you guys when I'm done. It's turning out to be quite a bit different than the one you already have.

The Tab Pigs comment   David;
Like just about every tune Kottke plays, he plays it a little different every time he plays it. Our version is off of the "A Shout Toward Noon" album.
Even so, kinda hard to believe that it is "quite a bit different".

Shoot us the tab when you're done & we'll check it out. If it's as good as you say it is, we'll put it on the site (of course, being the Pigs that we are, we'll take full credit for it & act like we never heard of you before. Then we'll send Jet to steal your girlfriend/wife/significant other). Such a deal, eh?

Well.....I've taken the tour of the "Legendary" Tab Pigs Site. Great stuff!!!! Bob Evans from Regina, (220 miles straight west of me)) recommended I take a look.

Question......What are the membership requirements???? I would love to become a member of this elite group!!!

I would like to invite all the Tab Piggers to Brandon for a jam sometime. I can make arrangements to have an exclusive tour of the new Maple-Leaf Hog Processing Plant. Maybe we could have an impromptu concert out there for all the little piggies that went to market, and are on their way to being made into pork-chops!!! There's a new captive audience of 3000 every day!!!! Pretty exciting stuff, eh????? Maybe a quick run-through of some of the hundreds of sow barns that are spotting the landscape around here!!!! (Gawd!!!! It just keeps on getting better, doesn't it???)

My Missus and I are heading to Nashville this summer for our very first CAAS!!!! Will hunt you folks down whilst I'm there.

Fingerstyle Rules!!!!

The Tab Pigs comment   Well, well, well ... another Canuck ... with Trigger and myself, that makes an odd three (well, Trigger makes it odd). I'd vote to include you in the group just based on the fact you're Canadian, but I have as much say in this group as ... well ... a Canadian. Which means very little.

Regarding your comment: My Missus and I are heading to Nashville this summer... Will hunt you folks down whilst I'm there., you might want to rephrase. In Tennessee, "hunt you down" means to get out the rifle and do some shootin'. Or course, maybe that is what you mean. If so, let me give you the address to Bernie's house ...

I love your site, but there is one really kick@ss tab missing. "Frank Forgets" does anyone know where to find it? I'm having trouble figuring it out.

"LEO KOTTKE FOR SUPREME RULER OF THE MULTIVERSE!!!!!(John Prine for vice ruler.)"????

Here's your tinfoil hat...and be careful not to rumple it up.

As for "Frank Forgets" tab...we forget where we put it. Sorry about that.

On my Taylor 415ce-L30 there is a rattle when you hammer-on the low E string from the open position. The action is not very low and the truss rod is adjusted correctly. Any suggestions?

The Tab Pigs comment   Yeah, keep the kids & their toy rattles away from your guitar.

But, on the other hand, could be one of a few problems: loose brace, loose PU endpin jack, loose tuner, loose bridge plate, etc...

Your best bet (if it's not your rugrat's rattle, which is easily found) is to take it in for a luthier or tech to look at it. If it's something that is really screwed up, yout Taylor warranty will handle it.

I have been so in love with the feel and sound of my LKSM 12 that I have purchased the LKSM 6 and am very anxious and excited to get my hands on that baby! You PIGS have helped me very much in discovering these fine guitars...thank you.

The Tab Pigs comment   Nate;

"thanks"??? That's all we get??? Jeeze, do we at least get a t-shirt too???

If you REALLY want to say "thanks", copious amounts of beer is the way to go (or insider trading details. We're Pigs for early retirement too).

see ya,
